Primula Pace Cold Brew Review Summary

Everyone loves an affordable coffee maker, and believe me, the Primula Cold Brew is one of the best available. This coffee maker has it all: quality, style, efficiency, versatility, and a price tag that won’t give you a heart attack.

It’s no surprise as Primula is a family-owned business that has produced quality kitchenware since 1991. Who better to bring you affordable, quality products than those who understand what people are looking for? Primula prides itself on meeting consumer needs and the Pace cold brew coffee maker is no exception.

Firstly, let’s talk about its build. This coffee maker is built from borosilicate glass — the strong stuff that’s used in restaurants and labs and is known for its durability. The Pace comes with a fine mesh filter and a specially designed leak-free lid. You’ll also find a non-slip silicone base that prevents accidents, mess, and breakage.

I also like the Primula iced coffee maker’s design. It has an almost rustic feel that easily fits into all kitchens, be it in humble homes, cafes, or mansions. At first, I wasn’t able to put my finger on why it’s so aesthetically pleasing, but then I realized it’s because it actually looks like a coffee maker

No offense to other cold brewers, but this one has a charm that almost all others lack.

The Primula Cold Brew coffee maker doesn’t only have its materials and aesthetic going for it, though. Its functionality is just as excellent. Operate it in three easy steps: add your grounds, add and mix water, and leave it to brew overnight. That’s it. There’s little to no setup, and cold brewing knowledge is not a prerequisite.

Storage is simple too; at just 8.51 inches tall by 7.68 inches wide, it’s one of the most compact cold brewers I’ve ever come across. It won’t take up any room in your fridge or on the counter, nor in your cupboards when it’s packed away. Plus it only weighs 1.58 pounds. But don’t let its diminutive size fool you, it has a 1.5-liter capacity.

As for cleaning, a nifty removable brew basket and an even niftier removable bottom mean you can really get in there and clean your grounds out properly. It’s also dishwasher safe to save time and effort.

Above its sophistication and convenience, its price is a key selling point. You’ll be surprised by how affordable this coffee maker is, especially considering its quality. It’s rare to find a cold brewer this good for this cheap. You’d think that Primula is cheating somehow, or that the brewer’s functionality or integrity has been compromised, but as you’ll soon see, it most certainly has not!

At this point, I usually warn potential buyers about what they might not like about a device. But I can’t think of a single off-putting thing about this cold-brewer. Maybe you won’t like it if you’re looking for something pricier or larger? A coffee maker that looks like it comes from space?

I can’t recommend this coffee maker enough. Its price versus coffee quality ratio is enough for my highest recommendations. Consider this cold brewer as, given the price, you have very little to lose.

Features and Benefits of the Primula Cold Brew

I’m pretty impressed by the Primula Cold Brew coffee maker for several reasons. Here’s why this cold brewer stands out and should be considered.

    Excellent Quality

No one wants a coffee maker that won’t last, but no one wants to pay hundreds of dollars for a virtually indestructible device either. The Primula iced coffee maker is a pretty good solution to this problem.

Its carafe is made from borosilicate glass, which is made to withstand extreme temperatures and conditions in laboratories. Not to mention its silicone non-slip base as an extra safety measure.

That’s not to say that you shouldn’t handle the Primula Pace cold brew maker with care, but if it gets an accidental bump, it’s unlikely to fall to pieces.

    Ease of Use

Cold brewing coffee sounds complicated, but it doesn’t have to be. The Primula iced coffee maker is as simple as it gets. Add your grounds, add your water, leave it to steep and enjoy.

You don’t have to worry about preparing your grounds or setting up your brewer, and you can make the most of this coffee maker with absolutely no brewing knowledge or experience to your name.

Considering its user-friendly design, it makes an excellent gift for those who aren’t tech-savvy. There are no buttons, no circuits, and no moving parts. If you’d like to start cold brewing but aren’t particularly hands-on, this device may be perfect for you.

    Convenient Maintenance

The worst part of brewing is the maintenance. That’s a lie — it’s actually when the coffee runs out, but you know what I mean! We all love making and drinking coffee, but cleaning up afterward is not fun.

The Primula Cold Brew coffee maker takes care of this problem. First, it’s dishwasher safe so you’ll save a ton of time and effort. Then there’s its removable brew basket.

Not only does this make maintenance a million times easier and more efficient, but the brew basket has a removable bottom, so you can be sure that all your leftover grounds are cleared away. Dismantling the device is easy and it makes a world of difference to brewing efficiency as the coffee maker won’t get clogged and ruin your fresh joe.

    Incredibly Compact

I am shocked by the Primula Pace cold brew maker’s size and think it has earned the rank of teeny-tiny. This little guy is only 8.51 inches tall, so it’s bound to fit inside your fridge without hassle. Furthermore, it will barely take up room on your counters or in storage.

It’s an excellent choice for those with smaller kitchens, and, since it weighs in at 1.58 pounds, is extra handy if you’re looking for a portable cold brewer. You’ll be able to carry it effortlessly. To add to this, it’s got a leak-proof seal so it won’t make a mess in your car or travel bags.

    Amazing Affordability

You don’t often find coffee makers this well built at such an affordable price. Typically, either the quality is shoddier or the brewer costs more to compensate for better production. But somehow, Primula has hit the perfect quality-to-price balance with this cold brewer and it won’t empty your bank account — not even close.

I’ve reviewed many coffee makers, and I can confidently say that the Primula Cold Brew coffee maker has the highest value for money I’ve seen so far. If you buy one, you’ll basically get a high-end coffee maker at a low-end price.

How Primula isn’t operating at a loss is a mystery!

    Great Style

Last, but not least, is the Primula Pace cold brewer’s look. Yes, looks don’t make or break a coffee maker, but I really like the design of this one because of that charm I mentioned earlier.

Cold brewers tend to look like water bottles or like alien decor. While I don’t mind either, it’s refreshing to find a cold brewer that looks like it’s made for coffee. It achieves this in a way that’s both basic and stylish, so it’s likely to suit all kitchens, regardless of your personal aesthetic.

What Do Users Say About the Primula Iced Coffee Maker?

I am extremely impressed by the Primula Cold Brew, but I wanted to see what others think. I took a look at buyer feedback, and I’m happy to report that we’re on the same page.

Happy customers praise this cold brewer’s simplicity and ease of use. Some buyers even say they wish they had bought it sooner. Positive reviews note that its build is excellent and that it’s nice to look at, while a chorus of customers are adamant that it makes the smoothest cold brew coffee they’ve ever tasted.

Of course, it’s not without criticism. The most common complaint is that it’s a little too compact and doesn’t brew as much coffee as you’d expect. Others say that it feels fragile and that handling it is uncomfortable.

However, the good reviews far outweigh the bad, so the verdict is in: the Primula Cold Brew coffee maker is a winner.

Alternatives To The Primula Cold Brew

As great as the Primula Cold Brew may be, perhaps is simply not the right cold brewer for you. If that’s the case, here are three alternatives I think you’ll like based on budget, features, and utility.

Similar in price, build and design, the Takeya Deluxe cold brewer may be the next best thing to the Primula Pace. It’s built from BPA-free Tritan plastic, includes a fine mesh filter, and has a four-cup capacity. It also features an airtight lid and a non-slip handle.

Brewing is just as easy too. Add grounds, add water, then leave it to brew overnight. It’s dishwasher safe and keeps coffee fresh for up to two weeks. It’s only slightly taller than the Primula Pace and will fit in your fridge without hassle.

    Easy brewing

    Airtight lid

    Dishwasher-safe components

If the Primula’s price is what appeals to you, take a look at this brewer. You’ll save a couple of dollars and it’s close to the Pace in build and functionality. It’s made from borosilicate glass and comes with a BPA-free airtight cap and a rust-proof dual mesh stainless steel filter.

Its design is a little more flashy than the Primula too, which is great if you think the latter is too basic. The Apexstone brews tea as well as coffee, and is extremely compact and portable.

    Borosilicate glass

    Rust-proof stainless steel filter included

    Compact and lightweight

Here’s a gem that’s quite the all-rounder. It’s a budget option with a nine-cup capacity, which is almost unheard of in cold brewing. If you’re a heavy coffee drinker or have many people to brew for, you’ll save some money on this model.

It’s odor and stain-resistant, BPA-free, and dishwasher safe. Included are a fine mesh filter, a removable brew basket, and an airtight, leak-proof lid. The brewer is made with durable silicone and stainless steel, and it’s compact enough to fit in most fridges without difficulty.

    Conclusion

The Primula Cold Brew’s appeal lies in how well-rounded it is. It’s extra-affordable considering its premium quality, versatility, convenience, and ease of use.

It will best suit casual brewers getting started in cold brewing, coffee drinkers who are looking to enjoy effortless iced coffee, and those on the go who need a compact coffee maker they can carry with them.

There’s little wrong with this iced coffee maker, and the faults that can be criticized are honestly a matter of taste or personal preference. It’s close to perfection and is certainly worth consideration, no matter your needs or budget.

Even so, its design may not pique everyone’s interest, and for serious craft brewers, you may find that the Primula Pace cold brew coffee maker is far too basic for your liking with little practical value.

But, it makes delicious iced coffee and, ultimately, isn’t that what matters most? There’s no denying that the Primula Pace is an excellent cold brewer offering exceptional value for money. Give it a try, you’ll love it if you do.

    Primula Cold Brew FAQs
